I developed this project with Marc Piera, sound director at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, where he perfected an avant-garde sound system.
Throughout the recital, the piano is amplified and transformed, while the sound is spatialised.
As it goes along, the electro joins in the dance.
I reprise works that have punctuated my creative career and end with a part in creation: piano + electro + spatialisation.
The listener is plunged in an entirely new piano sound, “augmented” by the electro transformations and diffusion.

One might say that a piano performance by Denis Levaillant is, primarily, a pianist facing and relating to his instrument. We might add that, when performing “PianoSoloPiano”, he gives a show in every sense of the term, a show in which his physical involvement, its musical organic extension, takes us to a powerful emotional level.
